Leidea-tion is a place about creating, developing and actualizing ideas into either real life or a world of fiction.

Lei YU is a product designer, junior architect, urban designer, artist and home-based experimentalist who is also a great believer in technology and creation, working towards an unimaginable unbounded future in an imaginable way, solving problems or thinking of utopia, and creating a X lifestyle for everyone. Lei YU walks on the edge of different disciplinarians while also believes in design will be the engine of technology, to inspire and push it farther by locating the true need and future need from user's perspective. Lei believes design is both addition and subtraction, it is about finding the most optimized solution and representation as if no design is happended.  With the exploration of technology and design, the idea will be changed revolutionary.

Lei YU received his Master degree in Architecture from University of Pennsylvania, Bachelor degree in Industrial Design from China Academy of Art. Lei YU had worked internationally for prestigious firms such as UNStudio, Buro ole Scheeren and HASSELL, and worked as research assistant at Pennovation Center and 3D Print/Scan Consultant for biomedical library both in University of Pennsylvania. Lei YU is always striving to explore the world of unknown with his curiosity and believes. With an interest in predicting an unimaginable future in an imaginable way, Lei YU is striving to design into life by achieving creative, alternative and sustainable design solutions with elegance, simplicity and intelligence.
